vista 5472 cannot index start menu

Could anybody tell me why I can't search my programs in the start menu search box, even thought the "Indexing Options" window has showed me that "indexing complete" ? Thanks in advance !

That problems seems to be on your installation, my 5472 searches everything Start Menu included...

In my previous post i stated that 5472 indexed everything I set to be indexed. However, I installed 5462 to my second machine (an Acer noteboo), and indexing shows exactly your problems. Start menu and most of desired folders don't get indexed. Anyone knows any solution?

If you changed your start panel preferences you may have un-checked a search option. Maybe recheck your settings.
